Hot Section Inspection (HSI)

Honeywell T53 and Rolls-Royce® M250 series engines have proven to be very reliable. In order to ensure the continued safe operation of these engines, the manufacturers require a Hot Section Inspection (HSI) to be performed at a scheduled halfway point to the engine's Time Before Overhaul (TBO).

An HSI may also be required to be performed on an unscheduled basis, as dictated by the manufacturer's maintenance manual, for certain performance degradation problems or over-temp situations. The hot end can be removed and shipped to our facility for inspection and repair or, as an alternative, on-site HSIs can be done by one of our qualified field service technicians in order to provide a quicker turn-around time. Our in-house hot section inspection includes teardown, cleaning, inspection, assembly and balancing of the assembly. Our zero grind hot sections ensure very tight tolerances, ensuring the installation by the operator will require little to no grinding.

All work is accompanied with a Transport Canada 24-0078 Form 1 EASA Certification or Certificate of Conformity.
